Victoria Falls and the Zambezi River are one of several tourist attractions Zimbabwe has to offer and they are situated in the north west of Zimbabwe. There are eight major National Parks in Zimbabwe, the biggest one being Hwange National Park. Victoria Falls National Park is a main draw card for Zimbabwe vacations.

The border with Mozambique is mountainous and the highest peak in Zimbabwe, Mt. Nyangani, as well as the Bvumba Mountains and Nyanga National Park are located there.

National parks

Chimanimani National Park

Located in the east of Zimbabwe is Chimanimani National Park, which is the only park that permits trailer and hiker to tour without travel guides. Plant life is abound making it ideal for botany enthusiasts.

Chizarira National Park

Chizarira National Park is well known for its spectacular 360-degree views, but be warned, it consists of rugged terrain and is difficult to access. However, tourists are treated views of natural wonders and dazzling site.

Hwange National Park

Hwange National Park is the largest national park in Zimbabwe and the leading game viewing region in the country. Peak season for Zimbabwe vacations are the dry months. Game viewing is at its finest during this time of the year when the wildlife emerges and assemble at the water sources. The wildlife species are diverse with hundreds of of bird varieties, predators and herbivores. Lake Kariba is a man-made water reserve and has now become a sanctuary for water adventurers. Fishing, sailing and water skiing are the main features.
